Located in a distance of 6 Kms from uninhabited village of Derasham, one of the most important historical & religious structures of the Eastern Azarbaijan Province has been constructed between 14th & 16th centuries. The Christians of the world are interested in going to a pilgrimage to it & annually hundreds of Iranian & foreign tourists visit it. Its archeological style is a composition of Urartur, Greek & Roman styles later became famous as Armenian style. It consists of three distinct sections: belfry, chapel & Daniel fireplace. Chapel with the area of 16x21 Sq.m has walls as long as a three-story building. On its entrance door, the inlaid work designing tens of flowers & eight-corner stars is really eye-catching. Daniel fireplace consists of three parts of fireplace, auditorium & baptistery. Belfry is a pyramid based on eight cylindrical columns built from scarlet rock. The foreheads of the arched roofs between the pillars are decorated by engraved angles, crosses, flower designs, stars & eight-petal flowers.
